Bio
Ruth taught middle school and high school mathematics in Kentucky for 29 years. She is a National Instructor for Teachers Teaching with Technology (T³) and an author of classroom activities, professional development materials, and textbooks. Ruth specializes in grades 7-12 mathematics content, instructional technology, and professional development for mathematics teachers.
Ruth has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, the T³ Leadership Award, has been recognized as a Tandy Scholar, and was selected as a Christa McAuliffe Fellow. Ruth was one of the twelve teachers selected to serve on the first Teacher Advisory Council of the National Academy of Sciences, is a Past President of the Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. In addition to conference presentations and face-to-face or online professional development, Ruth currently provides training and classroom support as a T³ Systemic Coach.
