Andrea Kotowski is passionate about the teaching and learning of mathematics in the elementary years. She is a Learning Services Educator with Origo Education since 2016. She is a graduate from University of New Mexico from which she has an Elementary Education MA with an emphasis in teaching English as a second language and a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She started her teaching career in 1992 and transitioned to an Albuquerque Public Schools elementary math resource teaching in 200. She supported the teaching and learning of mathematics in the elementary classroom. She has presented and facilitated a number of math, science, and technology workshop for teachers, such as and not limited to on Cognitively Guided instruction, various math content deepening workshops, Common Core State Standards of Mathematics, and fluency. She achieved her National Boards in 2007 and renewed 2017.

She lives in Placitas, NM which is between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She lives with her husband, has two sons, 3 cats and a dog.
