Marissa lives and teaches in Pearland, TX and has been teaching high school math in the Houston area for nearly twenty years. She served as an AP Calculus reader for six years and was an Early Table Leader during the inaugural AP Precalculus reading last summer. She received the Latino Magazine ENSENA Award in 2016, the Yale Educator Award in 2017 and was chosen as ConocoPhillips and the Houston Astros Math Teacher of the Year in 2019. When she's not busy teaching, Marissa enjoys watching the Astros and the Aggies and spending time with her family.
