Bio
Carol Julian is an experienced educator with a passion for mathematics education. With 28 years in education, she has dedicated her career to empowering students and teachers alike.
Following 18 years of classroom experience teaching mathematics, Carol transitioned into the role of an education specialist for K-12 mathematics at Region 17 Education Service Center and for K-5 mathematics at Region 16. In these roles, Carol shared her expertise and experience with other educators, providing curriculum guidance, professional development, and creating professional learning opportunities for math teachers in her region.
Carol's influence extends beyond her immediate region, as she has presented professional development at the district and state levels, and TEKS Resource System team as a writer for the Backward Design documents, the Formative Item bank, and as a writer for TEA creating math interim assessment items. She has also been a trainer for TEA's Mathematics Achievement Academies for the past eight years.
Her commitment to mathematics education is not limited to her professional work. She has served as the TASM secretary and as a board member for the Panhandle STEM Conference in West Texas. She has also served as a facilitator and presenter at TEKSCON and as a presenter and room monitor at CAMT.
Carol's extensive experience and unwavering dedication to professional development and curriculum guidance have established her as an integral member of the mathematics education community.
