Hello! I’m Casey Pena, creator and owner of Catnip's Word Walls… and chief operating officer of the Team Pena Crew. Born and raised in Texas, I come from a large family of educators and knew I wanted to be a teacher from a young age. I spent 6 years in the classroom teaching math, and 2 years working as a curriculum specialist. I've taught 6th, 7th, 8th, and Algebra 1. I created this company 12 years ago, and have loved expanding into different grade levels and subjects. Training teachers on how to seamlessly incorporate vocabulary instruction into their daily lessons is one of my favorite things to do.
