Laura J. Patulea serves as the Secondary Math Facilitator for Grand Prairie ISD, leading grades 6–Calculus across the district’s 16 secondary campuses. With more than three decades in mathematics education, she brings deep expertise in instructional leadership, curriculum design, assessment, and data-driven improvement. In her role, Laura supports teachers, coaches, and administrators in strengthening mathematical instruction through aligned curriculum, high-quality instructional materials, and effective coaching systems. In addition to her leadership in education, Laura has an accomplished athletic background. She was an All-American soccer player and a four-year starter at Southern Methodist University. She also competed internationally as a member of the United States women's national soccer team for over nine years. Her experiences as an elite athlete continue to shape her leadership style—grounded in discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
