Description

A recent survey conducted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation found that a majority of parents and educators believe that how we currently teach math is not only ineffective but also impractical (Jimenez, 2023). In this workshop, we’ll discuss how you can unleash the power of movement in education and implement practical, movement-based learning strategies throughout your school. All participants will receive the Math & Movement Training Manual ebook. Learning Objectives: The impact of movement-based learning on students and school culture. The brain science behind movement and learning. Practical strategies that boost brain function, promote math fluency and address unfinished learning. Strategies to ensure the success of low-performing students. Student achievement and self-efficacy data from recent movement-based intervention projects.
