Description
Fractions make sense when students can visualize them using models and manipulatives. Come participate in hands-on activities and see it for yourself! Ideas for introduction of fractions along with the line, area, and set models of fractions will be demonstrated. Manipulatives, including fraction strips, pattern blocks, and Cuisenaire rods will be used to show the concepts of fractions and equivalent fractions.
