In this session, students will learn about the importance of giving all students, regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic status, native language, or ability level the opportunity to productively struggle in math through rich, mathematical tasks with appropriate supports. Attendees will participate in productive struggle through a 'low-floor, high-ceiling' task and learn about ways to provide scaffolds and supports to students that grow their mathematical perseverance. Come learn easy to implement teacher moves that nudge the thinking without stealing the struggle.
