Description
This interactive and hands-on session will provide teachers and administrators with problem-solving ideas and strategies that support dual-language instruction. The presenters will model how the PVR (Preview-View-Review) process helps EBs solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction using place value (TEKS 2.4.C); & fluency (TEKS 3.5.A); and multiplication and division (TEKS 4.5.A) using diagrams and equations. Participants will make and create cross-linguistic anchor charts and word problems, in Spanish, that support the STAAR test. The presenters’ Google Drive print resources will be shared with the participants as an exit ticket. İLOS ESPERAMOS!
