Getting students to talk about math can feel challenging and at times impossible, but it doesn’t have to be! This session will explore simple yet effective ways to incorporate discourse into math classrooms, by exploring protocols and activities that can be used in daily instruction. We will look at the impact that discourse can have on student learning and its implications for teacher instruction. A little bit of discourse can go a long way!
