In this session, we will explore mathematics for social justice. An introduction to this pedagogy will be provided. The session will include a presentation on the subject and the research that supports its use, as well as an acknowledgment of the barriers to its widespread implementation. There will be ample opportunities for the participants to engage in math for social justice activities and to reflect on how they might incorporate these or related activities in their classroom.
